Which method should I choose?
  • TNMM (Rule 10B(1)(e)): net operating margin. The most used method in India, for services, contract manufacturing and distribution.
  • RPM (Rule 10B(1)(b)): gross margin on resale (GP/Sales), for distributors that resell without adding much value.
  • CPM (Rule 10B(1)(c)): gross mark-up on direct and indirect costs of production (GP/Cost), for manufacturers and service providers to group companies.
  • CUP (Rule 10B(1)(a)): the price itself against comparable uncontrolled prices. Needs price data, so our team does it with you.
  • PSM (Rule 10B(1)(d)): splits the combined profit of closely integrated transactions or unique intangibles. Our team does it with you.
  • The method that best fits your facts is the most appropriate method (section 92C(1) of the 1961 Act; section 165 of the 2025 Act). If unsure, start with TNMM.
